Bill Koss believes wood has an inner character that is waiting to be released. He combines brightly colored woods, and prefers curved lines, and natural colors. He compliments the wood with glass and metal and sometimes colored stones.
The majority of Bill’s material is sourced from local mills operated by one person, or he may scavenge leftover material from a neighbor. His goals are to continue growing his woodworking skills to avoid artificial limitations as he creates and produces art that is functional and beautiful. Bill lives in Olympia, Washington, and is an avid hiker, exploring the natural environment of the Northwest.
