    Wayne Branum

Blue and white striped red clay bowl glazed with white slip background. Part of gallery collection, from retired ceramist Wayne Branum of Wisconsin. A strong sense of form was always an important component of Branum’s work, evolving from earlier Asian pottery forms to gradually include more architectural references and the addition of pattern on surfaces. Wayne studied and worked with ceramic great Warren MacKenzie, graduated from the University of Minnesota and studied at RISD.
  • KT Hancock

KT Hancock is an artist based in Seattle. With a background in metalsmithing and glassmaking, she incorporates both mediums into her work. Her pieces demonstrate an interest in the idea of preciousness; the gem-shaped objects convey idealized adornment pieces for the body. Although not wearable, these objects reflect an inherent cultural, physical and sentimental value. KT has a Bachelor’s degree in metalsmithing and sculpture from the University of Wisconsin and has also attended and worked at Pilchuck Glass School founded by Dale Chihuly.
